Преимущества топливных брикетов

A person, who has never tried to use wood briquettes, can be surprise or completely scared off by the price set for this type of fuel. Indeed, the so-called Euro-pallet may be with a markup of 1.2-2 times higher than that of coal or conventional stove wood. In this case, the benefits of such an option may seem very much cloud-built. And yet, for some reason, this type of fuel remains very popular and called for. And the secret is that high cost should not be considered separately from the high level of consumer appeal.

First and foremost, is, of course, heat emission. According to a number of comparative examinations, the heat capacity value of 1 kg of wood briquettes is up to 5.8 kW against 2-4 kW produced from different types of wood. Such levels are achieved by proper drying of raw materials and the procedure of compressing. This is the same thing as to compare 1 apple and 1 glass of apple juice content-wise. Artificially compressed solid fuel burns longer and smoothly and with less ash.

Taking into consideration the fact that briquettes produce more heat than ordinary stove wood, it becomes clear that one can store them in smaller quantities. In addition to it, one the same form of briquettes is convenient both for laying out and storing. This may not seem just as obvious when heating private properties, but it is still possible to save considerably when it comes to storehouse area on a wholesale scale. Of course, there are certain disadvantages to this type of fuel. As for the price, we have already mentioned possible drawbacks. But in terms of relative disadvantages, then, for example, the fragility of some briquettes is indeed a drawback. It should also be said, that they are highly hygroscopic, and the more moisture they absorb, the worse will be their heat capacity. Therefore, briquettes are to be stored in an enclosed, well ventilated room with low humidity. On the other hand, high-quality briquettes emit much less soot and soot in combustion, and therefore pipes would not be getting clogged ever so often.
